The Town of Cambridge (\u2018the TOC\u201d) the Wembley Golf Course (\u2018WGC\u2019), Bold Park Aquatic Centre (BPA), the Cambridge Library (the Library), the Boulevard Centre (TBC), and the Quarry Amphitheatre (the Quarry) (together \u201cThe Town\u201d, \u201cwe,\u201d \u201cus\u201d or \u201cour\u201d) are bound by the Privacy and Responsible Information Act 2024 (\u201cthe PRIS Act\u201d) and the Information Privacy Principles (\u201cIPPs\u201d) set out in the PRIS Act.<\/p>\n
This statement contains information about how we collect, store, use, protect, and disclose your personal information.<\/p>\n
We are committed to safeguarding your data and your personal information that we hold against misuse, loss, modification, and unauthorised access or disclosure in accordance with the PRIS Act and the IPPs and, where required, also in compliance with the information access rights set out in the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (\u201cthe FOI Act\u201d).<\/p>\n

By using the any of the above-mentioned Town of Cambridge websites and the Wembley Golf Course WA Mobile Application, you agree to us collecting, using, disclosing and storing your personal information, in accordance with our obligations and responsibilities under the PRIS Act and IPPs.<\/p>\n
General<\/h4>\n
The PRIS Act and the IPPs governs the way in which we collect; store; use; protect; disclose; and process and\/or transfer your personal information which you provide to us. That legislation also identifies our obligations and responsibilities in protecting your individual personal information by prescribed methods of lawful and appropriate handling.<\/p>\n
Collection of Personal Information<\/h4>\n
In accordance with the West Australian Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024, we collect your personal information for a range of statutory and administrative purposes. The personal information that we collect from you may include, but is not limited to: \u25aa your name; \u25aa your address; \u25aa your contact details (e.g. your email address; your home address); \u25aa your employment details (current and past), particularly when you submit a job application to us; \u25aa specific information that will identify you (e.g. your date of birth, your credit card details, your driver\u2019s licence number, your Commonwealth and\/or State age or health concession card information); \u25aa your IP address; \u25aa top-level domain information (.com, .net, .gov etc.); \u25aa your internet browser type; \u25aa the date and time of your visit or visits to our websites; \u25aa the pages you viewed and time you spent on each viewing;<\/p>\n
\u25aa\u00a0the documents that you viewed, accessed and\/or downloaded;<\/span><\/p>\n

We collect personal information directly from you, from your personal representative(s) or from a third party. We may, occasionally, also collect personal information about you from Australian State and Territory government bodies or other organisations. We collect your personal information only when it is reasonably necessary for or directly related to our delivery of our services, functions and activities. We may also collect your personal information when it is legally required or authorised by law or by a judicial order of a Court or Tribunal.<\/p>\n

We also obtain and collect personal information from you and from third parties when: \u25aa it is necessary for and related to the delivery of our services, functions and activities; \u25aa the performance of our statutory, legislative and day to day administrative functions and services; \u25aa we are engaged in personal, and employments matters in relation to our staff and our external consultants and contractors; \u25aa we receive correspondence sent to us from members of the public, from our external consultants and contractors, from other State and Territory governments and from any other third parties.<\/p>\n
Security<\/h4>\n
We take all reasonably practical measures – using information technology security measures and physical security measures – in order to protect the security of the personal information we hold and store.<\/p>\n
Personal information we hold is managed securely in our record keeping system(s). Our information technology systems are safeguarded against unauthorised access. We ensure that personal information we hold and store is accessed only by staff who have the necessary delegated authority to access that information.<\/p>\n

The Town provides, on its websites or on its mobile applications, links to external websites operated by other third-party entities.<\/p>\n
Any links to external websites that you choose to access from these links do not imply that either the TOC or the WGC approves of; sponsors; endorses; is affiliated or associated with; or is legally authorised to use any trademark, trade name, logo or copyright symbol displayed in or accessible through those external links.<\/p>\n
We neither make nor give any warranty or representation in relation to external websites that you choose to access from links on the Town\u2019s websites. Neither do we endorse, support or approve – in any way – linked websites that you access from the Town\u2019s website, nor do we agree with, endorse, support or otherwise approve of any the information appearing on any external websites that you access through these links.<\/p>\n
If you decide to visit any linked external websites, you are choosing to leave the Town\u2019s websites and you do so at your own risk. By leaving the WG website you are agreeing to indemnify the WGC, the TOC and our employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, from and against any and all losses; expenses; damages; and costs that you may occur by accessing information on externally linked websites, including any reasonable attorneys\u2019 fees.<\/p>\n
Access<\/h4>\n
Under the PRIS Act and the FOI Act, you have the legal right to access, correct and\/or amend your personal information. You may also request access to, and the correction of, your personal information to which Information Privacy Principle 6 applies, under the PRIS Act. Third Parties and Service Providers<\/h4>\n
The Town may engage one or more third party companies as service providers and sub processors for the purposes of conducting and\/or carrying out the day-to-day business and administrative activities of the TOC.<\/p>\n
Third parties provide the Town with services required to support our delivery of related services to you (e.g. Website hosting: Membership application processing: arranging and staging corporate events; online booking processing; sales and services, including golfing equipment repair services; mobile applications, etc.)<\/p>\n
Third parties contracted by the TOC are and will continue to be contractually obligated to keep your personal information confidential and secure. Additional information regarding the sub processors we engage to support our service delivery programs for the WGC is set forth in (Appendix A.)<\/p>\n
Disclosure of Information<\/h4>\n
We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances: \u25aa in accordance with, or in compliance with the statutory requirements of either the PRIS Act and\/or the West Australian Freedom of Information Act 1992; \u25aa if we believe, on reasonable grounds, that non-compliance with the statutory requirements of the PRIS Act and\/or the FOI Act is necessary for the purposes of: (i) our business; (ii) a third party\u2019s business; (iii) another public entity\u2019s business; (iv) law enforcement; (v) child protection functions; or (vi) disclosure when necessary to protect health, safety, and life.<\/p>\n
The Town may use your personal information for marketing purposes to improve our services and to provide you with the latest information about those services; any new related services and\/or promotions.<\/p>\n
If you do not wish to receive information about services and promotions, the Town on request will remove your name from mailing lists.<\/p>\n
Should you choose not to provide your name, address or contact details when requested, WGC facilities and services may be unable to process your requested service. In such cases the service will be refused.<\/p>\n
Attribution<\/h4>\n
Material produced by the Town of Cambridge that is obtained from the Town\u2019s websites is to be attributed to the Town of Cambridge as \u00a9 Town of Cambridge 2025 (or respective date).<\/p>\n
Third Party Copyright<\/h4>\n
Whenever a third party own the copyright existing in any material produced on the Town of Cambridge website, the copyright in that material belongs to that third party. The express permission of the third party is required to be obtained in order to use the third party\u2019s material.<\/p>\n
